What’s your favorite part of working at Tria?
Tria has some of the most open lines of communication up and down the chain of command of any organization I’ve ever worked for. It helps me get to know the people I report to and the people who report to me, and it helps me to feel genuinely cared about as an employee.
What accomplishments during your time at Tria are you most proud of?
Obtaining my Project Management Professional certification in February was a huge accomplishment for me. I really appreciate that Tria supports employees’ professional development.
Also, I consider it an achievement that Tria promoted me to team lead and trusted me with the responsibility that comes with that.
How do you create a sense of teamwork with coworkers?
I make myself available to my team as much as they need me and foster an open communication policy. I work with them to make sure that they feel respected and valued and check in regularly. I make it a point to understand the various departments of our customer organization so I can support my team in providing value every day.
Tell us about an interest or hobby you pursue in your free time.
I’m an avid homebrewer and am active with my local homebrew club. I’ve been brewing for a little over a decade, and I typically produce IPAs and European lagers.
I’ve won a few awards for beers I’ve brewed. But what I really enjoy is the creative process of seeing a recipe through from its genesis through the scientific process and watching it turn into a finished product. It’s fun to share it with friends and guests.
How do you find purpose in your role?
I know that the work I do supports our national defense enterprise, and as a former servicemember that makes me proud to do what I do every day.
